Distance Learning: Please use Google Classroom for all seventh grade classes.
March 12, 2020 Update: During 10th period, all seventh grade students were given a copy of "Interactive Science: Water and the Atmosphere". Students were instructed to take the book home in case school was cancelled. Students who do not have a book can email me and I will make arrangements to get a book to you.
March 18, 2020 update: During the shutdown, all seventh grade work will be posted on Google Classroom. Our plan is to roll out assignments during the week of March 30, 2020. The plan for science is:
1. Assignments from Water and the Atmosphere will be posted on Google Classroom.
2. Students will read the sections and answer questions that are posted on Google Classroom. This way, they do not have to scan and submit handwritten answers.
3. Ms. Johnson and I are also working on fun, optional science activities that students can do with their family.
Welcome to my online classroom. I am very excited about teaching seventh grade science! I completed my B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology at Kent State University, and studied education at the University of Akron. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked for 15 years in mineral exploration, oil exploration, water resources, and environmental science.
