Welcome to sixth grade ELA class!! My name is Mrs. Bellis and I'm very excited to begin teaching my 15th year here at Manchester! I completed my Bachelor's Degree at Kent State University (Go Golden Flashes!) and I also hold a Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. In addition to teaching 6th grade I am also the Student Council Advisor here at the middle school, the Spelling Bee Coach, and a teacher mentor. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 3 year old son, Daniel and my 1 year old daughter, Leora. I have had a great summer with my family and I hope you had a wonderful summer as well. This year school wide and as a class we will be incorporating "The 7 Habits" into our daily work. I am really excited about using " The 7 Habits" myself, while also working with students to incorporate them into our learning! I look forward to having a wonderful year working together with you and your child. I hope that you find this page helpful, as it will post weekly spelling lists and important information about things that will be happening in our class! I am looking forward to a great year of learning! Go Panthers!!

"Success is not achieved by winning all the time. Real success comes when we rise after we fall. Some mountains are higher than others. Some roads are steeper than the next. There are hardships and setbacks but you cannot let them stop you. Even on the steepest road you must not turn back."---Muhammad Ali
