It is an honor to serve the Manchester Local School District in the role of superintendent. The role of superintendent of schools brings with it many “hats,” the most important of which is supporting our students and empowering each of them to become confident lifelong learners with the skills to embrace growth, accept real-world differences, communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and lead with courage to positively impact their careers, families, and communities. These words are taken directly from our district’s vision statement, which was created through collaboration with students, staff members, community partners, and parents of students in our district. Below, you will find our district’s mission statement, which was created using the same format. As a school district, we utilize these statements to guide our decision-making process, thinking of them as our “North Star” as we continue along a pathway of providing the quality education associated with Manchester Local Schools.

I am a believer in public education, and especially a believer in the Manchester Local School District’s approach to educating young people. We are in this together with families and our community, walking alongside one another to help each student reach their full potential. As superintendent, I have an open-door policy and encourage you to reach out if you have any insights you would like to share. We want to encourage all stakeholders to communicate effectively and efficiently to best impact our students. The most effective way to communicate if you have questions is to begin with the teacher or building administrator. All of our teachers and administrators have email addresses listed on our website. This helps open lines of communication and creates a pathway forward to address and resolve any concerns.

As a Panther (‘01), I enjoy attending sporting events, concerts, and community activities and seeing our students engaged in experiences they enjoy and that inspire them to continue growing and achieving at high levels.
