Who?
The Manchester Board of Education, The Ohio Facilities Construction Council, and the citizens of New Franklin, Ohio.
What?
- Building a new High School to house grades 9-12, Co-Funded By OFCC
- 500 seat auditorium
- New Competition Gym
- Space for 425 students
- Remodeling current Manchester High School to house grades PreK-5, and district Admin offices, Locally Funded (LFI)
- Building new varsity Baseball Field
- Building new multi-sport stadium (Football, Soccer, Track)
- Building New Field House, locker rooms, restrooms, ticket gates
- Adding new lights, resurfacing track, installing artificial turf surface
- Building Facilities Storage Building (field equipment, district storage)
- Razing former Nolley Elementary School
- Razing former Nimisila Intermediate School
- Demolishing temporary buildings (trailers) at Manchester Middle School
Where?
- The new High School will be built on the space currently occupied by the Manchester High School baseball field
- New multi-sport stadium will be constructed on the site of current soccer/track complex
- New Baseball Field to be constructed on the site of current Nolley Elementary
When?
- Portions of the existing high school remodel will begin almost immediately upon passage of the local bond issue
- After a 200-300 day design period, construction will begin on the new high school
- Construction of new Athletic facilities will commence upon the completion of the two school projects, and demolition of the existing elementary school
