Congratulations to senior Nolan Lindeman, who was recently named a "Commended Student" in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program, for his outstanding academic performance on the qualifying PSAT test.

Any seniors interested in John Caroll University are invited to come meet with an admissions representative TODAY at 11:15. Please sign up in the guidance office today if you would like to attend. 

College visits continue next week with the following schools:

Stark State-      Mon. 9/26 11:00am

Ohio Northern- Wed. 9/28 12:30pm

If interested in talking with an admissions rep from either of these schools please stop in the guidance office and sign up today.

Attention Seniors!

On Friday, September 30th NHS is hosting a senior sunrise fundraiser at James R. France Stadium. All seniors are welcome regardless if you are in the building or not. The event starts at 6:30 am and will last for about an hour. There will be food and  lawn games to play. The cost to attend is five dollars which can be paid to Nina Lindeman or Senora Miller. The money collected will go to a scholarship for seniors. Please plan to rsvp and pay before Friday, September 23rd. in the main office.  Questions? Ask Senora Miller, Mrs. Fassnacht, or Kaitlyn Reece.

  1. Homecoming Announcements 

    1. Attention students: The Homecoming football game, and parade is Friday, September 30th.

    2. The Homecoming dance is on Sat, October 1st, and the theme is HOCO Holidays, recognizing MANY of our favorite times of the year!

    3. Homecoming Court voting will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 20th.

    4. Ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, September 20th. During the week of September 20th-23rd, all tickets are just $15. However, starting Monday, September 26th, during the week of September 26th-30th, all tickets are $18. There will be no tickets sold after school on Friday, or at the door.   Dance starts at 7:00 - 10:30 p.m.

    5. Remember, if you are planning to bring someone who does not attend Manchester High School, you must have a Dance Affidavit, which is now available in the front office. Also, your affidavit must be approved BEFORE you buy your tickets.

The GSA will be holding a brief meeting immediately after school in room 113 on Thursday, September 29. We will be discussing future events and planning our next arts and crafts session, and we should be done by 3pm.

There will be a Science Club meeting in room 113 on Tuesday, September 27th from 2:30-3:30. We will be making more applesauce and talking about upcoming events.

Science Club is selling applesauce and jelly for $6 a jar to raise money for the Science Club Scholarship. Please see Mrs. Soful in room 113 if you are interested in purchasing any.
