Concert Information and Dates:  All concerts are in the High School Gymnasium.


Sept. 20th-7thand 8thgrade band will be traveling from MS to HS at 2:30pm (by bus) to practice with the High School Marching Band.  Please pick them up at the high school band room at 4:30pm. 


Sept. 21st- 7thand 8thMarching Band Night-

All 7thand 8thgraders will be playing the half time show for the home football game.  The students will arrive at the high school at 4:30 for pizza and drinks.  We will march from the high school to the stadium at 5:30pm.  Students will ride the bus back to the high school after the game and you can pick them up at the band room door.


December 19th     5th- 8thGrade Concert at the High School

Concert begins promptly at 7:00pm.  Attendance will be taken at 6:15pm.


February 23rd- Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Performance-

Select 5th-8thgrade groups, will be performing at the High School.  


April 6th- 7thand 8thGrade Solo/Ensemble Contest

This is an opportunity for students to perform solos and/or ensembles to perform together for judges. It is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.  Solo/Ensemble Contest occurs on Saturday, therefore busing will be provided for those students who wish to participate.


April 18th- Fine Arts Festival

Exact time will be announced.  Festival begins at 5:30pm and ends at 8:00pm.  Students will only be required to arrive ½ hour prior to assigned performance time and will be allowed to leave following their performance.


May 7th         5th-8thGrade Concert

Concert will begin promptly at 7:00pm.  Attendance will be taken at 6:15pm.


Monday May 27th- Memorial Day Parade

7thand 8thgrader band members will be marching in the parade with the high school marching band.  We meet at the high school at 7:45am.  Travel by bus to Grace Church on Manchester Rd.  The students are fed free pancakes and drinks.  Then we march to the cemetery for the ceremony.  We travel by bus back to the high school, and you are free to pick them up at the high school.  


*8thGrade Band going into High School Important Dates:

Percussion Workshop: (not required) May 21st and 22ndfrom 2:45-4:00pm at High School

Percussion Audition: May 24th2:45-4pm (required) at High School 

Color Guard/Majorette Workshop:  May 16thand 17th2:45pm-4:00pm at Middle School

Color Guard/Majorette Audition:  May 20th2:45-4:00pm at High School

New Members: July 12th10:00am-12:00pm 

Percussion Week/Color Guard/Majorette Week:  July 8th-12th8am-12:00pm

Full Band Rehearsal: July 15th-19th8am-12pm and 1-3pm 

July 21-26that Camp Wanake which is required

If you would like to find out more about the music program and how to raise money for your student’s individual band account, please come to a Music Booster Meeting.  They are held the 2nd thursday of every month in the High School band room at 6:30pm.
